Dallas St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival
Thousands of people flock to the streets each year for this Dallas favorite St. Patrick’s Day event, which has been a March tradition for more than 35 years. The parade feautures almost 90 colorful floats that ride down Greenville Avenue.
The Dallas St. Patrick’s Parade & Festival (previously known as the Greenville Avenue St. Patrick’s Parade) began in 1979 with a few vehicles and a fast tour down lower Greenville. The procession now has 90+ floats and draws close to 125,000 people.

Dallas Blooms

The Dallas Arboretum, which hosts the Southwest’s largest floral festival, is a stunning sight to behold during Dallas Blooms. The garden has over 500,000 blossoms ranging from tulips to pansies, making it a terrific destination to visit in the spring.
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, named one of “The Best Places to See Stunning Spring Blooms Across the South” by Southern Living, hosts Dallas Blooms, the Southwest’s largest annual floral event.

Deep Ellum Arts Festival
In early April, travel to Deep Ellum to experience Dallas at its most bohemian, varied, and relaxing. Live music stages are hidden into various nooks of the festival, while electric art stalls are set up throughout the neighborhood’s main streets.

Dallas Pride
The citizens have celebrated the LGBTQ+ community at this bright June event for over 30 years. A parade and festival will take place in Fair Park as part of the festivities.
Pride weekend is for everyone in the LGBTQ+ community, those who frequent the bars on the weekend and those who do not, for various reasons, people in the community who choose to establish families, LGBTQ+ youth who aren’t even active in the bar culture, allies, and everyone in between. Fair Park provides a location for everyone to come and have fun for the day.

State Fair of Texas

The State Fair of Texas, held in historic Fair Park, is the country’s longest-running fair. Every fall, the fair delivers 24 days of family fun and entertainment to Dallas, from the famed Fletcher’s corny dog to the Texas Star Ferris wheel.
Come ride one of North America’s tallest Ferris wheels and taste the world’s famous corn dogs. Meet Big Tex, a giant celebrity who greets you at the gate, and sample any of their delicious fried food. The fair has been running since 1886 and is the largest state fair in the country.

Dallas Holiday Parade
This spectacular parade, consists of larger-than-life floats and lively marching bands which pass through the streets of Downtown Dallas with approximately 450,000 spectators, making it one of the country’s largest parades. The parade is held on the first Saturday of December.
The parade quickly expanded in size. International store Neiman Marcus became the title sponsor in 1993. After 15 years as the parade’s title sponsor, Neiman Marcus retired in 2008. Their excellent partnership and support of the march over the years has helped propel it to the level it is now.

At&t Red River Showdown
Cotton Bowl Stadium Dallas, TX
The Red River Showdown, a historic football match-up hosted in the Cotton Bowl in Fair Park in early October for almost 100 years, features the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners in one of college football’s biggest rivalries.

Taste of Dallas

The 36th annual Taste of Dallas celebrates its 36th year with tens of thousands of attendees and dozens of interactive events. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade

For more than 35 years, Dallas has commemorated Dr. King’s life in one of the nation’s largest commemoration events. In the middle of January, the parade, a lively mix of floats and marching bands, takes place along MLK Boulevard.
Dallas will host the annual celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s life and legacy, with a week of events addressing topics of fairness, diversity, and opportunity.

North Texas Irish Festival
In March, one of the country’s major festivals of Irish culture takes place in Fair Park, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. World-renowned Celtic musicians will perform, as will competitive dance and whisky tastings.
This family-friendly event combines live music, dancing, storytelling, chef demos, and more at Fair Park. Attendees can enjoy horse displays, fencing demonstrations, and sheepherding. demonstrations, beer, and whiskey tastings, genealogical research, shopping, animal rescue groups, child-friendly entertainment, and free arts and crafts for kids.
