Tired of Hail Damage to your Roof? Get the NEW Impact Resistant Shingle!

Moore Construction Co. has stepped into a cornerstone market of offering and installing the new GAF Timberline ArmorShield II Shingle.

These shingles pass UL 2218 Class 4 impact test which is the standard test that uses steel balls ranging from 1.25 inches to 2.0 inches in diameter. These steel balls are then dropped from heights of 12 to 20 feet. The impace of the steel ball simulates the impact energy of free-falling hailstones.

GAF Timberline Armorshield II shingles showed no evidence of cracks or ruptures on front or back immediately after passing. Compare this to a "standard" shingle, which may rupture or crack visibly on the surface after a large hail impact and the choice becomes clear.

Let's be real, we deal with serious wind in North Texas. These shingles are also warrantied by GAF for up to 130 MPH winds! That's crazy! These shingles are made to withstand so many things that the added cost may just be worth it. With some insurance companies (check with yours) the purchase of these shingles may qualify you for up to 30% off of your homeowner's insurance, so added cost be gone. These things are making your life easier and saving you money.

We've decided to share some photos of a home in The Colony, TX that we installed these GAF Timberline ArmorShield II shingles in Barkwood color on.

This home also had GAF Cobra III Ridgevent installed. Effective attic ventilation is critical for a long lasting roof!

  1. Remove excess heat and moisture to protect your roof from premature deterioration
  2. Prevent roof rot in your attic or roof deck
  3. Minimize peeling and extend the life of exterior and interior paint
  4. Limit the growth of harmful mold
  5. Safeguard your attic possessions against mildew damage
  6. Guard against ice damming in harsh winter climates
  7. Promote energy efficiency by reducing excessive heat in your attic

Every valley on the roof in this home was protected with GAF StormGuard Ice & Water Shield. This product creates a water tight seal in what is easily the most vulnerable area on your roof, at the eaves and rakes, in valleys, and around chimneys. This will keep water from pooling in these areas and causing leaks that will cost hundred of dollars to fix on the interior of your home.

All in all, what we want, at Moore Construction Company is to make sure that you're offered a quality product. One that will last, will perform to the highest standard, and one that the neighbors will envy all while trying to be as cost effective as possible.
